For those not ready to pursue a Master's degree, West Virginia University at Morgantown offers a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity. The program will prepare students to create and evaluate network security at any organization, solve complex network problems by working with others, and be able to operate while following legal and ethical standards. A total of 124 credit hours are needed to complete the program, and it can be accomplished within the traditional four years.

Another undergraduate option is the Associate of Applied Sciences in Cyber Security at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College. The program is geared to prepare students for the growing number of cybersecurity positions available in the region and in Washington, DC. 60 total credit hours are needed to complete the degree, and it is divided up into 15 general education credits, 22 technical credits, and 23 electives that must be approved by the program.
