Four institutions in the state of New Mexico have been recognized as National Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE), which is a group of accredited schools that have an optimal cyber security curriculum created by the National security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Online Cyber Security Programs in New Mexico
There are limited options for online cyber security degrees in the state of New Mexico. New Mexico Tech has an online graduate certificate in Cybersecurity. The required course is foundational education in information security, and the student will select three electives to customize the certificate. Options include Advanced Cryptography, Security System Administration, and Computer Network Security.
Master's in Cyber Security Degrees in New Mexico
Through the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico, students are able to pursue a Master of Science in Information Systems and Assurance with an area of emphasis in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. There are also different specializations that focus on digital forensics and network security administration. A variety of courses can be found in this curriculum in the cyber security industry, such as Fraud Examination, Human Factors in Security, and Forensic Accounting.
